Dalmut is building premium business websites and digital platforms for multi-service companies, marketplaces, property businesses, professional firms and growth-focused brands. We need a senior PHP developer who treats content structure, responsive behavior, accessibility, search visibility and maintainability as part of the product—not as tasks added after the design is complete. This role is suited to a developer who can audit an existing codebase, explain technical choices clearly, protect working functionality and improve a live system without introducing unnecessary complexity.
The work you will own
You will translate approved website strategy, content models and interface designs into production-ready PHP. Typical projects include corporate websites with many service pages, project and case-study libraries, lead-generation forms, directories, portals and integrations. You will be expected to understand why each component exists, how content editors will maintain it and how the page supports a customer decision.
You will work inside reusable PHP architecture rather than duplicating static pages. That means creating clean route handling, shared layouts, safe data rendering, modular components and documented configuration. You should be comfortable improving an existing theme, tracing layout conflicts, fixing navigation and responsive issues, and replacing temporary code with a clearer maintainable solution.
Core responsibilities
- Audit PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript before changing the implementation, then document risks and dependencies.
- Build reusable page components for services, industries, packages, projects, case studies, insights, careers and conversion forms.
- Implement semantic HTML, accessible controls, keyboard navigation, descriptive labels and sensible focus behavior.
- Translate design systems into consistent spacing, typography, responsive layouts, states and animation behavior.
- Optimize critical images, fonts, scripts and above-the-fold rendering for practical Core Web Vitals improvement.
- Implement technical SEO foundations including canonical URLs, metadata, structured data, internal linking, XML sitemaps and redirects.
- Create secure form handling with validation, spam controls, error states and documented delivery or CRM integration.
- Test across modern desktop and mobile browsers, identify regressions and prepare clear deployment packages.
- Maintain source organization, release notes and editing guidance so another competent developer can continue the work.
What strong performance looks like
A strong developer in this role does not wait for every small decision to be converted into a ticket. You will raise issues when a design cannot scale, when a content structure creates duplicate pages, when an image treatment damages performance or when a requested interaction is inaccessible. You will propose a practical solution, show the trade-off and keep the project moving.
The final website should look deliberate at every viewport. Headings should not collide with images, buttons should align, forms should be easy to complete, navigation should not disappear on hover and content should remain readable against every background. Your work will be reviewed as a complete business experience, not only by whether the PHP executes.
Required experience
- Strong commercial PHP experience and confidence working without a large framework when the project does not require one.
- Advanced HTML and CSS skills, including Grid, Flexbox, responsive typography, component states and cross-browser testing.
- Practical JavaScript for navigation, filtering, modal, form and progressive-enhancement interactions.
- Experience with structured content, SEO implementation, schema markup and performance optimization.
- Ability to work with Git or another disciplined version-control and release process.
- Clear written English and the ability to explain implementation decisions to designers, strategists and business stakeholders.
- A portfolio that demonstrates real responsive websites, not only screenshots of design concepts.
Useful additional experience
- API integrations, CRM or marketing-platform connections, payment or messaging workflows.
- Image pipelines using WebP, AVIF, responsive sources and automated validation.
- Security hardening, server configuration, DNS, caching or managed hosting environments.
- Building multilingual interfaces or preparing systems for future Arabic localization.
- Experience with service marketplaces, real-estate listings, ecommerce or operational portals.
How we work together
Dalmut works with structured briefs, content inventories and clear approval stages. You will receive the business context, visual direction and expected outcome, but you are expected to challenge incomplete requirements before development. Work may begin on a defined contract and grow into a longer relationship based on reliability, code quality, communication and delivery ownership.
This is a remote role supporting UAE-first projects and international clients. Availability should overlap enough with Gulf business hours for reviews and issue resolution. Client information, credentials and source assets must be handled confidentially. Work submitted as your own must be original, licensed and documented.
