Social media package tables often compare only the number of posts. That is easy to count, but it does not tell a business whether the content will be distinctive, whether video production is included, who responds to customers, how influencers are managed or how results connect to enquiries. A useful package defines the operating system behind the posts.

Key decisions
  • Compare strategy, production, community, rights and measurement—not only post volume.
  • Separate organic management, paid-media fees, advertising spend and influencer costs.
  • Define what the client must supply and how approvals affect the calendar.
  • Choose a package that fits the platform, audience and sales cycle of the business.
01

Why Dubai social media packages are difficult to compare

One supplier may count a static image, a carousel and a fully produced video as one post each, even though the effort is completely different. Another may include publishing but not copywriting, or content design but not community response. Some packages include an account manager and strategy review; others are production-only.

The first step is to separate five workstreams: strategy, content production, publishing, community management and paid or influencer campaigns. Then define the expected monthly volume inside each workstream.

02

1. Strategy and channel role

A package should explain which platforms are included and what each platform is expected to achieve. Instagram may support visual brand and community; TikTok may require creator-led short video; LinkedIn may focus on expertise and business development; YouTube may support deeper educational content and search discovery.

Posting the same asset everywhere is efficient but often ineffective. The strategy should define audiences, content pillars, recurring formats, tone, frequency and conversion pathways.

  • Audience and competitor review
  • Platform selection and role
  • Content pillars and recurring series
  • Monthly themes, offers and campaign moments
  • Approval and escalation rules
  • Relationship to website, WhatsApp, sales and paid media
03

2. Content volume and format mix

Ask the agency to define what counts as a deliverable. Twelve assets may mean twelve static designs, or it may mean a balanced mix of carousels, graphics, photography and video. Video quality also varies from editing client-supplied clips to full scripting, filming, talent, location and post-production.

A smaller number of useful, recognizable formats can outperform high-volume generic content. The package should match the audience’s information needs and the business’s ability to supply expertise, access and approvals.

04

3. Photography and video production

On-location production is a separate operational commitment. Confirm the number of shoot hours, locations, crew, equipment, concepts, scripts, edits and revision rounds. Talent, product preparation, venue permission, travel, styling and licensed music may not be included.

Plan production as a library. One day can capture website portraits, service demonstrations, leadership clips, customer questions, campaign material and evergreen social content if the shot list is approved in advance.

05

4. Copywriting, publishing and approvals

The package should state who writes captions, who checks facts, who selects hashtags or keywords and who publishes. Generic captions created without business context weaken expertise. The client must provide access to current services, prices, availability, policies and claims.

Approval deadlines affect the calendar. Define what happens when the client is late, when a post relates to a changing offer and when urgent content is required. A shared approval system is more reliable than scattered messaging.

06

5. Community management and lead escalation

Community management is more than liking comments. It includes response tone, service hours, FAQs, complaints, sensitive issues and lead routing. The social team needs a clear boundary between information it can provide and matters that require a sales, support or management response.

Ask whether direct messages are included, how quickly they are reviewed and how enquiries are recorded. If the package generates leads but no one owns follow-up, the business will still lose opportunities.

08

7. Influencer and creator campaigns

Influencer management can include research, outreach, negotiation, briefing, approval, attendance, publishing, reporting and usage rights. Creator fees and product or travel costs are normally separate. Follower count alone is not a selection strategy.

Evaluate audience location, engagement quality, content fit, previous partnerships, brand safety and the creator’s ability to communicate the offer. Define disclosure, exclusivity, revision, cancellation and reuse rights in writing.

09

8. Content ownership and usage rights

Clarify whether the business receives final files, editable source files and permission to reuse photography, video and influencer content in advertising, the website and future campaigns. Licensed music, stock assets, templates and talent releases may limit use.

The brand should also retain access to social accounts, advertising accounts, analytics and audiences. An agency should not create critical assets inside accounts the client cannot access.

10

9. Reporting that leads to better content

A useful monthly review identifies what themes, hooks, formats and audiences performed, what did not, and what will change. Reach and follower growth are only part of the story. Website actions, enquiries, saves, qualified conversations and creator results may be more useful depending on the objective.

Reporting should distinguish organic and paid performance. It should also state when tracking is limited—for example, when enquiries continue privately on WhatsApp or sales are closed offline.

11

A practical three-level package structure

For many UAE businesses, an essential package covers strategy, a reliable monthly content volume, publishing and basic reporting. A growth package adds more video, production planning, community management and campaign support. A brand-and-influence package adds creator coordination, advanced production and integrated campaign journeys.

The right level depends on how much original material the business can produce, how quickly it can approve content and whether social media is primarily for credibility, community, demand generation or direct sales.

12

Red flags before signing a social media contract

  • The proposal lists post counts but no content strategy.
  • Every platform receives the same design and caption.
  • Follower growth is guaranteed without explaining the method.
  • Influencers are selected only by follower count.
  • Advertising spend and management fees are not separated.
  • No one defines who responds to enquiries or complaints.
  • Content and account ownership are unclear.
  • The agency cannot show real, consistent work under one brand system.
13

Information to prepare before requesting a package

A better brief produces a better proposal. Share the business goals, priority audience, platforms, current accounts, monthly offers, internal experts, available photo and video access, approval process, advertising budget and examples of the enquiries the business wants.

Dalmut structures social media as part of the wider brand and growth system. Content pillars connect to the website, campaigns and customer journey. Where useful, social management can combine with photography, video, influencer coordination, paid media, landing pages and AI-assisted enquiry routing.

14

Ask how the package will operate after the content calendar is approved

A monthly content calendar is only one part of social media delivery. The operating model should explain who supplies product, service and team information; who approves claims; how quickly comments and messages are escalated; which content can be adapted across platforms; and how campaign learning changes the next month’s plan.

For a UAE business serving multilingual or multicultural audiences, review is especially important. English-first content may be appropriate initially, but Arabic adaptation, terminology, cultural context and offer conditions should be planned rather than added as an afterthought. The package should also state whether community management, paid-media coordination, influencer communication and on-site production are included or separately scoped.

  • Approval owner and turnaround time
  • Community-response and escalation rules
  • Paid and organic content responsibilities
  • Production days and usage rights
  • Monthly learning and optimization process
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many social media posts should a Dubai business publish each month?+

There is no universal number. The appropriate volume depends on platform, format, audience, production resources and business objective. Quality and consistency matter more than filling a calendar.

Is ad spend included in social media packages?+

Usually not. Media spend is normally paid directly to the platform and separated from strategy, creative and campaign-management fees.

Are reels and video included?+

They may be included, but confirm whether the agency is editing supplied clips or providing scripting, filming, talent, location and full production.

Who owns the content?+

Ownership and usage rights should be stated in the agreement, including source files, photography, music, talent and influencer content.
